InScriptum: A Journal of Language and Literary Studies is a bi-disciplinary, multi-lingual journal welcoming research on a broad spectrum of topics in culture, literature and literary language. Papers are published in Italian, Polish, English, Spanish, German, French, and occasionally other languages. Uncommon in its assay, the journal aims at inclusiveness and promotes cross-specialty enrichment. InScriptum is published by the Jan Kochanowski University Press with the support of the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (USA), the University of Bergamo (Italy), and Jan Kochanowski University (Poland). Full text versions of articles published in the journal are freely available courtesy of the publisher.

All submissions are double-blind peer reviewed.

InScriptum is the original medium of publication for all articles that the journal prints.

This is an open access journal, which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full text versions of articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.



July 2023: InScriptum received a score of 20 on the official journal ranking list published by the Polish Ministry of Education and Science.

November 2023: InScriptum recognised as a scientific journal in the ANVUR (Italian National Agency for Evaluation of Universities and Research Institutes) rating for Area 10 (Antiquities, Philology, Literary Studies, Art History).

InScriptum is also listed by the Index Copernicus International (ICI Journals Master List).
